Itinerary
We will pick everyone up from their respective hotels between 4:30 and 5:00 am. Then, we will drive to the town of Mollepata for 2 hours, where we will stop at a restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast (approx. 1 hour).
Afterward, we’ll prepare for the hike to Humantay Lagoon, an approximately 2-hour (3 km) climb. Once at Humantay Lagoon, you’ll have ample time to photograph the stunning scenery, listen to the guide’s explanations, and enjoy the area’s breathtaking landscape.
The time you’ll spend at Humantay Lagoon is approximately 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the weather. Sometimes it’s cloudy, foggy, or raining lightly and very cold; in that case, you can stay for about 30 minutes.
If the weather is sunny and clear, you can stay for about an hour and a half, enough time to see Humantay Lagoon.
Finally, we’ll prepare for the return to the vehicle stop, marking the end of the hike. Later, we’ll take the vehicle back to Mollepata for 1 hour, where we’ll stop for a buffet lunch, and then return to Cusco by vehicle (2 more hours).
