Itinerary
Your adventure begins early this morning with a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo. After a short break, you will board a train to kilometer 104, the starting point of your Inca Trail.
Shortly after, your hike begins with a gradual ascent to Chachabamba, a small but fascinating archaeological site surrounded by lush vegetation. Your guide will explain its spiritual significance and the ceremonial use of water.
From there, the trail enters the cloud forest toward Wiñay Wayna, one of the most impressive and best-preserved Inca sites along the route. Terraces, temples, and panoramic views of the valley reward the effort. Here you will enjoy a well-deserved lunch and a moment to relax.
In the afternoon, the trail continues ascending to the iconic Sun Gate (Inti Punku). From this viewpoint, you will have your first magical view of Machu Picchu, bathed in the golden light of the afternoon—an unforgettable moment.
We will not explore the site yet. Instead, you will descend to the main entrance and take a short bus ride to Aguas Calientes, where a comfortable hotel room and a delicious dinner await you. Rest well—tomorrow, Machu Picchu is all yours.
