Itinerary
At 7:00 am , we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin an unforgettable journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas . The adventure begins with a visit to an alpaca farm , where you will get up close to llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos . There, you will learn about their importance to Andean culture and their contribution to the local economy. You will also discover how the ancient Incas harvested, spun, and dyed wool to create their colorful textiles, and you will even have the opportunity to feed and interact with these magnificent animals .
Next, we’ll travel for about 30 minutes to the Taray Viewpoint , which offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the valley, the Urubamba River , and the majestic snow-capped Andes . It’s the perfect spot to take photographs and admire the natural beauty that characterizes this region.
Our next stop will be Pisac , just 30 minutes from the viewpoint. We’ll visit its archaeological site , located on a hill with spectacular views of the valley. There you’ll admire its agricultural terraces, ceremonial temples, Inca dwellings , and the largest cemetery in South America .
Afterwards, we’ll descend to the town of Pisac , known for its vibrant artisan market brimming with color and tradition. You can purchase textiles, ceramics, jewelry , or sample the delicious Pisac-style empanadas .
Next, we’ll travel for approximately one hour to Urubamba , where you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch prepared with fresh, local ingredients. This will be the perfect time to relax and savor the local cuisine before continuing our journey.
After lunch, we’ll head to Moray , an enigmatic archaeological site made up of large, circular terraces that descend in levels. The Incas used them as an agricultural laboratory , experimenting with different microclimates to improve their crops.
We will continue to the Maras Salt Mines , a breathtaking landscape comprised of over 3,000 salt ponds that shimmer in the sunlight. These mines, exploited since Inca times and still managed by local families, offer one of the most stunning views of the tour.
Finally, we’ll arrive at Ollantaytambo , a monumental 15th-century Inca fortress built with enormous stone terraces and a strategic design. This site served as a military, agricultural, and religious center , and today it preserves a charming town with cobblestone streets and traditional architecture .
At the end of the visit, we will begin our return to Cusco , arriving at your hotel around 6:00 pm
